Jackson, Mich. (Nov. 29, 2022) – Brayden Lape, the 16-year-old singing sensation from Grass Lake, Mich., advanced to the semifinals of NBC’s show ‘The Voice’ on Tuesday after fans voted him in following Monday night’s performances.
Lape, who performed the song ‘HomeSick’ by Kane Brown on Monday, put together a flawless and steady performance of a song selected by the fans. He advances to the top eight in the competition.
Lape, who has gone a traditional country music route for most of the series under coach Blake Shelton, will most likely continue down that path in his route to the finals.
The Grass Lake three-sport athlete is becoming a big television and music celebrity before our very eyes, bringing much fanfare to the Grass Lake and Jackson County communities, plus the entire state of Michigan.
Lape will perform in next week’s semifinals live on NBC, locally on WILX 10. Check local listings for details.
