Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — There is a huge event Thursday for families in need of school supplies. The annual Back to School Blast Community Resource Fair, slated for Thursday, July 25 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., will take place at the new American 1 Event Center and it’s all free.

Melinda Long, key coordinator of the event, says this event has exploded over the last 11 years:
