A special presentation of the 125-year history of Gilbert Chocolates in Jackson is happening this Tuesday featuring the Jackson County Michigan Historical Society at 6pm at the Carnegie Branch of the Jackson District Library. Owners Brian and Sally Krichbaum told us that the connection between the company and Jackson goes deeper than just the chocolate.

And the opportunity to continue to provide their services to Jackson is just as much of a gift as receiving a box of their sweets.

As far as Tuesday evening’s presentation goes, the history runs all the way back to the turn of the 20th Century.

The Carnegie Library is located at 244 West Michigan Avenue.
