Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — An Albion, Michigan man is facing weapons charges in Kentucky after a weekend traffic stop.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they pulled over 32-year-old Zachary Vanorder Sunday on Fort Campbell Boulevard for having an improperly displayed and expired license plate.
During the stop, deputies spotted a handgun magazine in plain view. A check revealed Vanorder had an active warrant out of Calhoun County, Michigan, along with a failure to appear warrant in Christian County.
A loaded 9mm Glock handgun was later found in the vehicle. Vanorder, a convicted felon, was arrested and is now charged with possession of a handgun by a felon, being a fugitive from another state, and improper registration display.
