Tuesday morning a semi-truck carrying thousands of pounds in car batteries flipped upside down when an elderly driver tried to make a U-turn on the highway. It happened before 8am in Chelsea on eastbound I-94. A 92-year-old man in a silver Cadillac tried to make a U-turn on the freeway when he was hit by the semi that was packed with 70,000 pounds of car batteries. The semi flipped upsaide down. Both drivers were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. Michigan State Police says none of the batteries leaked fluid onto the highway.
