A suggestion from federal accident investigators could lead to technology that would alert drivers that they are speeding.  They are also asking safety regulators how states might be able to electronically limit speeds on vehicles driven by repeat traffic offenders. The recommendations come from the National Transportation Safety Board, to combat excessive speeding after a recent hearing about a crash in Las Vegas in 2022 when a car speeding at 103 mph ran a red light, slamming into a minivan at an intersection that resulted in the death of 9 people.
