Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Something new is going on at Jackson Speedway – drifting.

“Really different cars, but really sophisticated enough to spin the tires for a quarter mile,” says John Lefere of Jackson Speedway, referring to the vehicles that will be seen drifting around the track on Saturday, September 9. Mid Michigan Drifting Club is hosting a “Kart Track Throwdown” at the speedway including food, music, and giveaways. Details can be found in the Facebook post shown below.

Lefere recently joined WKHM to give some updates on the new happenings at the track, which is located just off US 127 and Page Ave. Hear the full interview below.
