Jackson, MI (WKHM) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigating an apparent homicide on Sunday evening in Summit Township. The deputies were called to a home on Robinson Rd by the victims son, 33 year old David McClure. He stated something had happened to his mother. When officers arrived at the home, they found the body of 55 year old Karen Tobin inside the home dead of an apparent homicide. While performing the investigation, McClure arrived at the scene and rammed in to two of the sheriff vehicles and exited his own vehicle with a weapon in hand, charging the deputies. Two deputies fired at McClure, who was hit, and then taken to Henry Ford Jackson to be treated. The Michigan State Police is investigating the officer involved shooting. McClure is a person of interest in the homicide of Karen Tobin, according to the sherriff’s investigation.
