A service that started during the pandemic will now be permanent. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed legislation that allows restaurants to continue serving cocktails to-go. The move was first put into place when restrictions were put on restaurants when COVID first hit in 2020. The Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association says making the idea permanent will give restaurant owners a much-needed economic boost and the opportunity to continue providing a service that customers have enjoyed.
