Jackson, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery will give schools a boost with $1.2 billion dollars.
Marking their fourth consecutive contribution of more than a billion dollars or more, the Michigan Lottery and Governor Grethen Whitmer announced earlier this week that the lottery will contribute over $1.2 billion to education in the state.
The funds will help with programs like special education, at-risk programs and career and technical education. Governor Gretchen Whitmer says lottery games provide Michigan residents with a chance to win money and support local businesses and public education programs.
