Jackson, Mich. — Officials say a 25-year-old man was shot in the lower leg early Friday morning in the parking lot of Avenue Gentleman’s Club near downtown Jackson. Jackson police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. Friday, and they believe the man was leaving the club when shots were fired in the parking lot.

Officials are unsure if the man was the target of the shooting, which is still being investigated. He was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health to be treated for the gunshot.
