Jackson, Mich. — Previously known as the Annual Meeting, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 114th annual Night of Distinction on Thursday, February 2nd at the Michigan Theatre.
The ceremony included a reinstatement of existing Chamber board members, welcoming of new ones, and the main event of the evening: a celebration of the Community Award Winners. The event ended with a reception at Veritas which included refreshments and a magic show by Daniel Martin.
The purpose of the Night of Distinction is to “recognize leaders in the community for their efforts to make Jackson a great place to live, work and play,” according to a statement by the Chamber. This year’s honorees are:

Ben Jones – U.S. Staffing - Brick Award – sponsored by Jackson Commercial Contractors Association
Production Realty - Small Business Person of the Year – sponsored by County National Bank
Dawn Phillips of Keepin’ it Clean - Athena Award – sponsored by TRUE Community Credit Union
Sarah Ermatinger - Omotenashi Award – sponsored by Experience Jackson
Culver’s of Jackson - Jamie McKibbin Community Enthusiast Award

“It’s important to acknowledge the hard work that goes into keeping Jackson a great place to live and work,” said Craig Hatch, President and CEO of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce.
The celebration will continue through Awards Week February 6-10 with media stops for each of the award winners on NewsTalk 970AM/101.5FM as well as JTV, Home.fm and Jackson Magazine. Tune in to WKHM to hear from the award recipients themselves.
