Netflix shares their plan on how they’ll cutdown on password sharing…but it could be a hassle for the account owner.

Netflix recently updated their FAQ with “To ensure uninterrupted access to Netflix, connect to the Wi-Fi at your primary location, open the Netflix app or website, and watch something at least once every 31 days. This creates a trusted device so you can watch Netflix, even when you’re away from your primary location.”

Multiple people in the same household can use a single account. And if someone outside of your household tries to log in to your account, Netflix explains that it ‘will prompt users who try to sign into your account elsewhere to sign up for their own account instead and block their access until they do.”

And what happens when you’re away from home and want to access your Netflix account? ‘Traveling users who want to use Netflix on a hotel smart TV, company laptop, etc. can request a temporary code from the service when signing in. This will give them access to their account for seven consecutive days.’, per the Netflix FAQ.

It will be interesting to see how all of this affects access to our Netflix accounts as the owners of the accounts. Netflix plans to implement their new crackdown password plan next month.
