Jackson, Mich. — Tuesday night the Jackson City Council unanimously approved the Social District for Downtown Jackson. Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney explains what this means for the downtown district:

The Mayor supported the Social District and feels this is going to benefit businesses downtown.

Homeless at the forefront of Tuesday’s city council meeting. Mayor Mahoney said the city is looking for proposals that could lead to solutions. A special meeting is planned for next week.
