Jackson, Mich. — Following a wind storm Saturday with some gusts reaching 65 mph, Consumers Energy has reported that nearly half of its customers who had lost power have had their services restored.
Scott McIntosh, Consumers Energy Officer in Charge for storm events, says that they have been working with the Secretary of State on identifying polling locations without power. They plan on prioritizing restoring power to these polling locations ahead of Tuesday’s election. According to McIntosh, the goal is to have power restored to polling locations by Monday evening.
