The Jackson County Rose Parade will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, presented by Art Moehn Chevrolet. The theme for the 2022 Festival and Parade is The Roaring 20’s.
The parade, last held in 2019 was suspended for the past two years due to the pandemic. Festival organizers announced the parade will be held on Sunday, June 5th in Downtown Jackson. New this year, the parade will run a different route, the same as the Downtown Jackson Christmas Parade route. Starting at Blackstone Street, the Parade will travel east on Michigan Avenue and conclude at One Energy Plaza.
The Festival is inviting food trucks to Horace Blackman Park and is planning activities during and after the parade, including the possibility of a one mile Rose Parade Run before the start of the parade. Starting April 1, applications will be open for parade entries on the Rose Festival website.
The Jackson County Rose Festival began in 1958 with the inaugural Rose Parade, with the Rose Pageant beginning the following year.
