After 17 years, a Michigan woman has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the cold case deaths of her newborn twin sons.
41 year-old Antoinette Briley of Holland, was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of her twins.
Briley was living in Illinois at the time of the murders. The twin boys’ bodies were found by a waste management employee in a trash bin located in a back alley in Cook County, Illinois.
In 2018, Cook County investigators used DNA from evidence to identify Briley as the potential mother of the twin boys. Investigators compared the twins’ DNA with Briley’s from a discarded cigarette butt.
