McKibbin Media Group is proud to highlight our employees, and share with you all the hard work that happens behind the scenes! This week’s employee highlight features Jared Hammond.

Jared is the Production Director for McKibbin Media Group, Program Director for K-105.3 Jackson’s Hit Music Station, and the K-105.3 afternoon drive show host. When he first started working at the company 21 years ago, formerly known as Jackson Radio Works, he was a board operator.

Jared programs the music, sound, and talent for K-105.3, writes and produces commercials for all of McKibbin Media Group radio stations, and he’s the “J-Rod” you know and love from 3pm to 7pm weekdays on K-105.3!

His favorite part of the job is programming K-105.3 – making new sounds and creating fun programming for anyone who listens. Jared enjoys beer tasting and he’s still really into his OG Nintendo Entertainment System!

Jared and his wife Taryn have two children: Tyler, 26, and Madison, 21.

A fun fact about Jared is that he once crowd surfed at least a half-mile one time to get to the front of the main stage at Woodstock 99.
