A fatal car-pedestrian accident Friday night, June 19, claimed the life of a 42-year-old Jackson man. Blackman-Leoni Public Safety was called to westbound I-94 near Airport Road.

Investigators say the 42-year-old victim was trying to cross the highway on foot, when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old woman from Paw Paw.

The victim was then run over by a semi tractor-trailer which continued traveling est on I-94 and did not stop.

The Jackson man who was not identified was dead at the scene. Anyone with any information about this accident is asked to call 517-788-4223.
