The largest major gift in Henry Ford Allegiance Health history was announced this morning, and it will benefit the Jackson YMCA Capital Campaign for a new state-of-the-art facility. Henry Ford Allegiance Health has pledged $1 million to the campaign, which includes naming rights to the Wellness Center in the new facility.

“Henry Ford Allegiance Health has long been dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the community, and we are pleased to partner with the Jackson YMCA,” said Henry Ford Allegiance Health president and CEO Paula Autry. “Physical activity is a key component of overall well-being, and the Wellness Center is an ideal fit for our organization.”

The Jackson YMCA is well over halfway through a $25 million fundraising effort to replace its 58-year-old downtown building. Total pledged contributions are now at $18.1 million. Following successful conclusion of three phases of fundraising efforts, construction is expected to begin in 2021.
