City of Jackson residents can mark their calendars for February 26th to prepare for Mayor Derek Dobies annual state of the city address.  The City of Jackson website announced the date in a post on Tuesday .

The address is scheduled for 6 PM on Feb. 26th at the Michigan Theatre.  In addition to Mayor Dobies address Jackson United Way President and CEO Ken Toll will appear.

Toll is expected to speak about poverty in Jackson and some of the United Way’s initiatives to address it.  The Mayor will address the past year in the City as well as future plans.  Dobies is also expected to encourage civic engagement in the community.
