A police officer pushed two people out of the path of a suspected intoxicated motorist, early Sunday morning in Monroe.
The officer was conducting a traffic stop on Telegraph Road when an SUV came skidding toward the backend of the police cruiser. This was when the officer quickly pushed two people over a guardrail to safety.
The SUV avoided the back of the cruiser, but went up on the sidewalk before the fleeing the scene.
Police were able to apprehend the motorist.
No one was injured.
The suspect is facing numerous charges.
