Jackson police are investigating an apparent shooting that occured on the city’s east side.

The victim was dropped off at Henry Ford Allegiance at around 4PM, Friday December 6th.

Police responded to the hospital to interview the victim, who was later released with minor injuries.

The victim told investigators that they were shot near Elm and E. Michigan Ave.

Fruther details are limited at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.
