Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s line item vetoes have put at least a temporary halt to construction on Andy’s Place, a facility designed to provide long term care and assistance to those with addictions and substance abuse issues. Mike Hirst, creator of Andy’s Angels and Andy’s Place, is extremely disappointed politics has halted the project.
