Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce says they have a vision for the next 20 years that centers Jackson as a resurgent community. Chamber CEO Ryan Tarrant made those thoughts clear on AM Jackson, where he said he sees Jackson’s outdoor environment as a potential source of fostering growth.

The plan includes working on improving what the Chamber calls the five KPIs for growth, which are quality of life, K-12 education, housing, crime, and workforce. Tarrant told WKHM that it will be very important for community organizations to commit long-term to making efforts to improve those areas.

As far as the outlook in the short-term goes, Tarrant believes Jackson already has a steady foundation to build on.
