Crews in Jackson County tackled a massive house fire early Monday morning in Clarklake. Columbia Township Fire Chief confirmed the call came in shortly after 6 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed, with flames spreading to every floor. Strong winds made matters worse, causing two neighboring homes to catch fire as well.

While the neighboring houses sustained minor damage, the original home was completely destroyed. A total of 10 fire departments from two counties were called in to battle the intense three-alarm blaze.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Officials say a dog alerted one of the neighboring families to the danger, helping them escape unharmed.
