Celebrity News ABC News Producer Arrested In Denver A reporter/producer for ABC was arrested in Denver Wednesday while he and a cameraman were taking pictures of Democratic senators meeting with potential campaign donors. Asa Eslocker’s
arrest was captured on video and was featured on ABC’s “World News With Charles Gibson.” Eslocker’s arrest took place on the sidewalk in front of the Brown Palace Hotel, which claimed that the sidewalk is private property and that Eslocker was trespassing. The video clearly showed other people walking on the sidewalk. ABC spokesman Jeffrey Schneider said, “We expect to see this kind of behavior in Myanmar, not in Denver, Colorado.”
Lindsay Lohan Slams Dad On Blog Lindsay Lohan has lashed out at her father, calling him a “public embarrassment” and a “bully” in a MySpace blog entry. The verbal assault came after Michael Lohan told E! that Lohan’s gal pal
Samantha Ronson was “using” his daughter. Lindsay says she’s tired of her father talking about her private life. “He’s out of control,” she told “Access Hollywood.” Daddy Lohan responded by telling ABC News, “Who’s out of control? Whose life is out of control? Give me a break. Going from place to place, being dragged around by Samantha so she can make more money off of Lindsay being there when she spins...She’s gone from making $7 million to less than a million a movie. Who’s out of control?”
David Duchovny In Rehab For Sex Addiction David Duchovny has checked into rehab to undergo treatment for sex addiction, his rep confirmed. Duchovny, ironically, won a Golden Globe this year for playing an over-sexed writer on Showtime’s “Californication.” He has been married to actress Téa Leoni since May 1997. They have two children
together.
Update: German Studio Offers Settlement To ‘Valkyrie’ Extras The German Studio Babelsberg AG, which is co-producing the Tom Cruise film “Valkyrie” with United Artists, has proposed a settlement to 12 extras who want $11 million to cover injuries they say they suffered when the side panel of an old military truck they were riding in fell off. The extras, who were left with injuries ranging from cuts and bruises to pulled ligaments and broken bones, sent a letter to
United Artists demanding compensation and threatening legal action, even though UA did not hire them. It was a sister company of Studio Babelsberg that hired them.
Golden Moss British sculptor Marc Quinn has unveiled his latest creation, a $2.8 million, 110-pound solid gold
statue of supermodel Kate Moss. Quinn captured Moss in a provocative yoga pose in a 2006 bronze statue. The gold statue will be on display at the British Museum in October.
Update: Mackenzie Phillips Released On $10,000 Bail Mackenzie Phillips has been released on $10,000 bail following her arrest for possession of a controlled substance on Wednesday. Phillips, 48, was taken into custody in Los Angeles after she was caught with heroin and cocaine at LAX Airport around 10 a.m. She had reportedly failed a
routine security screening, which prompted a secondary search. Police recovered “a balloon and a plastic bag containing a small amount of heroin and cocaine.”
Phelps Snags ‘Entourage’ Guest Spot In addition to presenting at MTV’s Video Music Awards and hosting “Saturday Night Live,” Olympic champ Michael Phelps will make a cameo on “Entourage.” The gold medalist shot a “spontaneous” cameo with the cast of the HBO hit in New York City yesterday, according to E! Music News Update: The Game Charged For Funeral Brawl The Game has been charged with battery for attacking his cousin at a funeral earlier this year. Robert “Kirky” Kirkwood filed a police report in July claiming The Game punched him at his sister’s funeral. The Game could be tossed back in jail if he’s convicted of the battery charge; he is currently
on probation for a firearms offense. The Game released his third album, “L.A.X.,” on Tuesday. The set features Lil Wayne, Nas, Ne-Yo and Ice Cube, among others.
Soulja Boy Hacked Soulja Boy has been hacked. Somebody reportedly hacked Soulja’s MySpace and YouTube pages,
sending an Instant Message to the singer demanding $25,000 for the return of his passwords. The hackers changed his Web pages, but YouTube and MySpace soon fixed the problem. Soulja says he knows who hacked his account and promises revenge.
More VMA Nods Kanye West, Chris Brown and Katy Perry have picked up more MTV VMA nominations in this year’s
“professional categories.” Brown’s videos for “Kiss Kiss” and “Forever” were nominated for Best Choreography, while Rihanna’s “Take A Bow” is among the nominees in the Best Direction category. Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” received nominations in both Best Editing and Best Cinematography. Kanye received a nomination for Best Special Effects for his “Good Life” video. The MTV Video Music Awards will air live on September 7th.
Update: Suge Knight Released From Jail Suge Knight has been released from the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas. Knight posted $19,000 bail on Wednesday and will appear in court on September 26th to answer felony assault and drug charges. Police arrested Knight Wednesday morning after officers saw him beating his girlfriend
while brandishing a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip. The woman was not stabbed but was treated for injuries. Police say Knight had Ecstasy and hydrocodone when he was arrested.
Duff’s Parents Argue Over Birthday Party, Dad Arrested An argument over Hilary Duff’s upcoming 21st birthday led to her father’s arrest during a court hearing. Bob Duff allegedly violated an injunction against selling assets without court approval. Bob and Susan Duff are in the midst of a bitter divorce. The judge says Bob should pay Susan $12,500
for Hilary’s birthday party. Susan wanted $25,000. Hilary will turn 21 on September 28th.

DMX Guilty DMX pleaded guilty to trying to buy cocaine and marijuana and is awaiting extradition to Arizona on
additional drug charges, his lawyer said yesterday. As we reported yesterday, DMX entered his plea on Wednesday and was sentenced to time served. He was thrown into jail for two or three days after his July arrest on a charge of trying to buy drugs from an undercover cop during a street corner sting. DMX was initially released on bond on the Florida charge, but was arrested two weeks ago on the outstanding warrant from Arizona during a traffic stop. Instead of staying in jail until his October trial, he pleaded guilty in the Florida case and agreed to be extradited to Arizona.
